Decorative antique brick – M

Very old decorative bricks with “wave” motive, from the roof of antique Chinese houses. The bricks are hollow inside, but very sturdy. They can be used as decorative pieces or as planters. But they can also be made into a very modern looking lamp with a rectangular shade!
The province Shanxi has a centuries old tradition in brick sculpture with which family compounds in that province were adorned. These bricks were probably part of the central roof ridge adornments.
