This antique Vietnamese woodcarving was made during the French colonial times in Vietnam. The woodcarving was on top of a door of a temple (paid for by the family) or colonial house.
The intricate carving of the flowers, brances and leafs, give an elegant and refined impression of French style, but with a distinct Asian flavour.
