Small decorative dark Thai temple gable apex on stand.

This stylized old temple gable apex (Chofah or sky-tassle) is said to resemble the beak of the mythological half man, half bird winged figure of Garuda. This figure placed on top of the temple roof represents the protective power of Buddhism and the temple’s role in guarding the faith.
