Antique architectural element table lamp

Thin, antique decorative brick made as a modern looking lamp. The brick comes from the roof of an old Chinese house in Shanxi province. Every brick is slightly different, but most have a stylised depiction of flowers on the front and back. Shanxi has a centuries old tradition in brick sculpture with which houses in that province were adorned. These bricks were probably part of roof adornments of a family compound.
